The HSD-24 hydraulic coupling enables smooth and rapid motor startup even under loaded conditions, achieving maximum torque with reduced energy consumption. Both torque and acceleration time are adjustable parameters. This coupling eliminates the need to oversize electrical installations by preventing sudden startup jolts. The torque limitation reduces mechanical failures when subjected to direct starts. In internal combustion engines, it absorbs torsional vibrations and extends the timeframe from nominal speed until the motor nearly stops. When unexpected overload occurs, the HSD-24 decreases speed while increasing available torque to maintain working conditions. Maximum power slip relative to nominal speed is approximately 3%. Optional fusible plugs are available upon request for continuous overload situations.
