The TWIM 15 portable induction heater serves maintenance applications for heating bearings mounted with interference fits on shafts. The warming of the bearing causes its dilation, which eliminates the need to use force during installation. A temperature difference of approximately 90°C between bearing and shaft typically suffices for proper installation. Beyond bearings, this device can heat other ring-shaped metal components, offering versatile applications. The unit operates electrically with a fiberglass and high-temperature-resistant plastic structure, creating minimal temperature variance between inner and outer bearing races to reduce internal stress from excessive thermal expansion. Operation is straightforward through an LED control panel requiring no specialized training. The system automatically monitors temperature and detects bearing size for appropriate heating.
